Tracealyzer
Percepio® Tracealyzer is provided as an annual subscription. The following options are available:
- Single-user – license locked to one developer workstation
- Floating server license – shared by a team, with concurrent user limits.
- (Academic licenses for non-commercial usage – contact us for terms and conditions)
All subscriptions include support, maintenance updates, and free major upgrades during the subscription period.
Percepio Detect
Percepio Detect is provided as an annual floating server subscription, with two capacity tiers to match your development and test needs.
- Floating server license – enables shared access across your development and testing teams.
- Capacity tiers – based on the number of connected test targets reporting to the Detect server.
Each subscription includes support, maintenance updates, and upgrades during the subscription term.
Licenses are locked to your Detect server and can be extended or expanded as your needs grow.

General Terms
Free Evaluation
You may evaluate Tracealyzer free of charge for a limited time. Register for evaluation on the Download page and a time-limited single-user license is emailed within a few minutes and offers full functionality. This can’t be extended using the automated form. If you need more time for your evaluation, please contact support for assistance.
Note: Evaluation licenses are for EVALUATION only and may not be used for real issues in commercial projects.

Terms and Conditions
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled prior to renewal.
- A valid license registration is required to access support, updates, maintenance and renewal notices.

General Licenses
A Tracealyzer subscription provide support for many common RTOSes. For a list of our supported RTOS integrations, please see here.
Single-User Subscription
This is the easiest option for individual users and small teams. The single-user subscription provides node-locked license seats valid for 1 year at a time and includes technical support and software updates during this time. The license is provided as a license key file to be installed on the computer running Tracealyzer.
Multi-user Subscription
For larger teams we recommend the multi-user subscription, providing floating license seats valid for 1 year at a time, with technical support and software updates included during this time. This allows an unlimited number of Tracealyzer installations within the organization, but the number of concurrent users is limited by the number of floating seats.
License Server
Managing Floating Licenses
Floating licenses for Tracealyzer can be managed in two ways, using either a local license server installed on a server in the local network, or the cloud-based Percepio License Service (PLS). With PLS, you avoid the need to involve your IT department to install the server software and can get started with Tracealyzer right away.
PLS is hosted by Percepio in AWS and the solution has been designed according to AWS best practices with security in focus. PLS uses encrypted HTTPS communication and each customer receives a separate instance of the service, isolated from other instances, with their own unique endpoint URL. Moreover, PLS is implemented using serverless AWS solutions, meaning that the PLS service runs as isolated containers on Linux servers that are managed and kept secure by AWS. PLS has been used by demanding customers for several years without issues.
Percepio is a member of the Amazon Partner Network and has a commercial support agreement with AWS.
Academic Licenses
University Package with Support
For universities and other institutions for higher education we offer the University Package, a multi-user license with a common shared license key. The price is discounted by 90% compared to our commercial licenses and the minimum package is for 10 computers.
Free Licensing for Academic Users
Free Licensing for Academic Users
We offer FREE ACADEMIC LICENSES for all Tracealyzer products for users within education or academic research. Schools and institutions can request a site license, while individual students can request a single license. In both cases, the academic licenses are restricted to non-commercial use only but offer full functionality and unlimited updates.*

Conditions for Academic Licenses
- Strictly for non-commercial use.
- Limited to one year but may be extended at year’s end.
- Individual licenses consist of one (1) node-locked license.
- Site licenses can be customized to suit your needs.
- Does NOT include technical support. If you need support, see the University Package above.
- By requesting an academic license, you give us the right to use your provided information, including link. logo, and quote but not your e-mail address, for marketing purposes. Specifically, we intend to list users, projects and schools with academic licenses on our website.
- We reserve the right to deny academic license requests.
