By registering for downloading and/or evaluating one of Percepio’s software products (“the Software”) you enter an agreement with Percepio AB, a Swedish company with registration number 556771-9686, described in full by this page. The agreement gives you the right to download and/or evaluate the Software and gives Percepio AB and authorized partners of Percepio AB the right to contact you regarding this product. The communication is primarily via email. In case you do not wish to receive such emails, it is easy to unsubscribe using the link in the email footer.

We share the provided contact information only with a single authorized Percepio distributor for your country or region (see the partners page) who may contact you to follow up your interest in Percepio products. They are specialized resellers of embedded software tools, with significant experience and knowledge.

We collect and store the contact information you provide in the registration form, along with a timestamp and any license key generated from your request. When submitting the registration form we also include information regarding your prior clicks in Percepio marketing campaigns, to allow internal analysis of our marketing.

When requesting or activating a node-locked software license from Percepio AB, including evaluation licenses, we register a computer identification code that serves to prevent misuse of issued licenses. This may also apply to site licenses and company licenses provided as license keys. The computer identification code is an anonymous identifier (a hash code) and contains no information about the computer from which you registered the Software. We use leading service providers for secure transfer, storage and processing of your contact information. This website uses cookies to store information in between sessions. The website is monitored using Google Analytics.

The Software may collect and transmit limited technical product usage data to Percepio AB. This is sent to a private Matomo server only accessible to Percepio AB (not Google Analytics). It does not include any trace data or information about the host computer, other than the operating system type (Windows or Linux) and a persistent but anonymous installation ID. This information is not linked to any license information, registration details, email addresses, or other contact information provided by the user. The collected data may include product version and license type, product functions used, installation and onboarding progress, interactions with demo traces, application performance, error messages, and similar technical usage feedback. We use this information to improve the Software, onboarding, documentation, support, and license offerings. The data collection is enabled by default but can be disabled in File -> Settings -> Global Settings. However, some events may be transmitted before this setting becomes available. If this is a concern, all product usage data collection can be avoided by adding an environment variable before first use. Contact us for details.

We process this information based on our legitimate interest in improving, securing and supporting our software products.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation EU 2016/279 of 27 April 2016) you have the right to request a copy of any information Percepio AB has registered about your person. Please contact support@percepio.com to obtain this information. If the information is erroneous, incomplete or irrelevant, you have the right to have your information corrected. Finally you also have the right to request that we remove your information from our systems.

The usage of Percepio products is further regulated by the End User License Agreement provided as part of the Software, including any applicable settings for product usage telemetry.
