Detect 2025.2 release comes with new TaskMonitor feature and IAR Embedded Workbench support
Detect 2025.2 builds on Percepio’s self-hosted observability framework, which offers unlimited on-device monitoring and a “security-camera-style” trace capture system that records only when irregular events occur. The update also includes enhanced support for Armv8-M cores, such as the Arm Cortex-M33, improved integration with IAR Embedded Workbench®, and more compact, efficient core dumps.
The newly added TaskMonitor continuously tracks CPU activity at the thread level, enabling automatic detection of anomalies that can disrupt system performance. Captured traces can be analysed using Tracealyzer, Percepio’s visualisation tool for embedded software behaviour, providing developers with detailed insights into system operations.
