Continuous Observability on Zephyr RTOS Now Supported

Oct 22, 2026 |

Enabling embedded engineers to automatically detect, capture and diagnose runtime anomalies and faults, Percepio Detect 2026.1 has just been released. This adds comprehensive Zephyr real-time operating system (RTOS) support to its widely-used Continuous Observability platform.

This release responds to growing demand from engineers for a Zephyr-native observability solution that supports not only debugging, but also continuous quality assurance throughout development and testing workflows. It extends the platform’s ‘security-camera-style’ monitoring approach to Zephyr-based systems. Rather than streaming all trace data continuously, it monitors the system and automatically captures compact diagnostic snapshots only when anomalies occur. These snapshots, including both traces and optional core dumps, can then be analysed using the company’s Tracealyzer tool.
